Reporting to the Commercial Director you’ll will oversee a range of critical tasks, including costings and pricing for logistics opportunities, business case development, pricing and tender submissions, management of regular customer business reviews and active involvement in new client acquisition, collaborating with the senior leadership team to craft compelling blue chip pitch propositions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare costings and pricing for logistics opportunities, including contract extensions and new contracts.
  • Develop compelling business cases and prepare pricing and tender submissions meticulously.
  • Lead customer business reviews and manage commercial contract performance adeptly.
  • Analyse volumes and deliver insightful commercial reporting.
  • Drive successful negotiations with Blue Chip Contract Logistics Customers.
  • Acquire new clients and craft blue chip pitch propositions, contributing to strategic alignment in the annual budgeting process.
  • Deliver precise costing and pricing to the Commercial Director and customers.
  • Provide accurate reports and analysis to identify growth avenues.
  • Maximise revenue within existing contracts and cultivate collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.

In terms of your experience and qualities we are seeking:

  • Possess 5+ years of commercial finance experience in Contract Logistics, Warehousing, Transport, International Freight, or Supply Chain solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in negotiating with large customers at a senior level.
  • Embrace a team player mindset, valuing collaboration and diversity of thought.
  • Exhibit strong commercial acumen, complemented by exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Embody a self-motivated and dynamic approach, driving success with confidence.
  • Communicate credibly and inclusively, leveraging strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive strategic outcomes.
